Salary is negotiable depending upon relevant experience.About The Role Summary The Corporate Accountant Supervisor will be employed within the Finance and Accounting department of Glacier Bancorp, Inc. The position entails preparing the regulatory reports including the SEC and Call Report, managing the financial consolidating process and managing the merger and acquisition accounting process. Manage a variety of banking or accounting related projects and oversee other accounting staff in the support of the various processes. The ability to collaborate, communicate, motivate, persuade, and influence stakeholders at all levels is a critical component of the position. Internal and external stakeholders include employees, the board, executive management, business units, auditors, consultants, and regulators. Builds the capabilities, tools, and skills within team, driving high levels of individual accountability, engagement, empowerment, and development. Acts as an enthusiastic, positive, and motivated role model for team. The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Duties and Responsibilities Description % of Time Spent \* Perform financial analysis as requested by the Financial Reporting Manager and Chief Accounting Officer. 20% \* Independently manage the consolidating closing process including financial reporting of non-bank subsidiaries. 15% \* Prepare the quarterly call report, SEC report, and other regulatory reports. 10% \* Independently manage a variety of banking and accounting areas and projects as assigned. 10% \* Assist in preparation of other internal and external financial reporting for other department team members. 10% \* Manages and trains direct reports including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, disciplining as necessary, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraises performance and provides recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate. 10% \* Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and specific accounting and bank related areas. 10% \* Independently manage the merger and acquisition accounting process. 10% \* Prepare tax provision reporting for the Tax Manager. 5% \* Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. Required Advanced Experience Microsoft Excel. Preferred Advanced / Specialized Knowledge SEC and regulatory reporting for banking industry. Preferred Beginner Experience Silverlake operating systems of Jack Henry and Associates vendor.
