Ankura Senior Technical Project Manager, Data & Technology in Montana

Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.

Practice Overview: The Noragh group within Ankura develops and maintains a portfolio of analytics products, centered largely but not solely around high-volume unstructured text. Rather than a pure machine-learning plus dashboards approach, we focus on opportunities to interactively support human analysts as they organize, explore, and exploit data with the assistance of machine learning and an intuitive user experience. Our products include platforms that can be configured for specific re-sellable applications or delivered “raw” for unique needs, as well as custom development when required.

We believe in modular, distributed design, clear code, robust testing, collaborative innovation, happy clients, mutual respect, and a real work/life balance. We also strive to build upon and maintain a culture that is inclusive, rewarding and in keeping with our organizational core values.

Role Overview:

The Senior Technical Project Manager is a hybrid role that involves managing technical team projects and facilitating Scrum methodology within a software development team. This role is responsible for refining project scope, identifying objectives, meeting deliverables, and ensuring project requirements are clear and achievable. The Technical Team Project Manager guides the team through Scrum events, removes impediments, and fosters an environment of productivity and self-organization. They also monitor project progress, manage changes, and provide regular status updates.

This role combines technical knowledge, project management skills, Agile expertise, and leadership abilities to drive efficient software development and maintain an effective Scrum environment. In this role, you will approach technical team projects with a comprehensive view and collaborate with technical team managers who possess in-depth knowledge of the platform’s architecture, design, and capabilities.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will be part of the Otter Analytics team.

Companies encounter substantial hurdles when managing and leveraging vast volumes of data scattered across multiple applications and sources, impeding their ability to extract actionable insights and make timely, informed business decisions. Otter Analytics addresses these challenges through its patented analytics platform capable of handling vast amounts of data from diverse applications and sources. Through the real-time analysis of structured and unstructured narrative text and proprietary AI capabilities, Otter empowers companies to operate at “the speed of the problem” and make well-informed business decisions in a timely manner.
