SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE Early Learning- Toddler Teacher in PABLO, Montana

General Summary: In accordance with the SKC Mission Statement, the Toddler Teacher's basic function is to provide safe and healthy learning environments and interactions for children enrolled in the Salish Kootenai College Early Learning Center. The Toddler Teacher acts as primary caregiver/educator and supports the learning of children ages 2 to 5 years. They collaborate with parents, staff members, and other teachers at the Early Learning Center in order to support children's developmental needs. The Toddler Teacher will support developing lesson plans, implement activities, observe children's progress, and document findings in accordance with Center curriculum and assessment policies.

Qualifications: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, P-3 or Elementary Education or working towards one Or Child Development Associates Degree. Documented 1-year experience working children ages 0- 5 years in a formal early childhood setting such as an Early Head Start classroom, childcare facility, family childcare setting etc. (preferred). Knowledge of child development ages 0-3 years. Good verbal and communication skills. Current CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain certification upon hire. Current on required immunizations or ability to become current upon hire. Ability to work with people of varying backgrounds and ethnic groups. Ability to take direction and work independently.
