SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE IRC Digital Materials & Tech Specialist in PABLO, Montana

As a new position for the IRC, the Digital Materials & Tech Specialist will assist the Director with tasks related to use of technology involved in creating, operating, and managing digital materials and on-line programming. Overall, the IRC, as an NSF grant funded program, has three core objectives to explore, share, and build institutional and learning capacities related to advancement of Indigenous Research Methodologies & Methods (IRM&M) in Geoscience and STEM-related disciplines. IRM&M philosophically, conceptually, and as applied engage trans- disciplinary and multi-methods through culturally sensitive and collaborative approaches and practices. The Digital Materials & Tech Specialist position will develop and make available materials both physically and digitally online, and through occasional in-person and online instructional modules, with the goal of providing foundational knowledge and application opportunities associated with Indigenous projects and academic research. These activities will support student, faculty, and public development of knowledges and practices regarding use of IRM&M and will assist the accomplishment of the goals of the IRC. In addition, this position will assist the IRC Program Assistant, as needed and required, with the IRC website, digitizing of materials, and on-site digi-tech needs among other duties and tasks assigned by the Director.

Qualifications: Have at least three years' experience in on-line media development and production, with use of required technologies. BA/BS in relevant online media and tech experience, preferred.
