SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE Nursing Instructor in PABLO, Montana

The role of the faculty is to facilitate individual and group opportunities of learning that allow students to meet the educational outcomes of the ASN, RN-BSN, and 4-year BSN Nursing Programs. To achieve these outcomes, faculty and students form a partnership in an atmosphere of care and mutual respect. All nursing faculty members shall hold a master's degree in nursing or a doctorate in nursing or related field; both degrees need to be conferred from an accredited program. Faculty shall hold an unencumbered, active license as a Registered Nurse in Montana or be eligible to apply for one via reciprocity from another state. Faculty will have demonstrated experience in teaching at the collegiate level, preferably at the BSN or higher level. Faculty will have experience working in a collegiate nursing program which holds nursing accreditation (ACEN, CCNE, and CNEA). Faculty must provide evidence of continuing professional development in areas of responsibility of didactic and/or clinical and serve as role models for the students. Faculty will possess a clear background check. Specific Required Qualifications: Extensive experience with teaching with a Learning Management System, preferably Brightspace LMS. Extensive experience with online instruction, both synchronous and asynchronous formats. Experience with teaching at the BSN or higher level of nursing education with demonstrated innovative teaching techniques/ delivery methods with students. Significant experience with Native American student instruction. Proficient in technology platforms and applications for meetings, virtual office hours, and active learning activities. Demonstrated record of new course development at the BSN or higher level of nursing education with awareness of context of curriculum. Certified Nurse Educator current certification. Proven record of committee work, active participation in departmental problem solving, and evidence of being a "team member."
