SALISH KOOTENAI COLLEGE Security Officer in PABLO, Montana
General Summary: Campus Security routinely does checks of campus buildings and property. This includes but is not limited to buildings-windows, doors and building alarm systems along with routine checks for fire and safety. These checks take place at alternating times. While on patrol, security will approach and identify any/all individuals and/or vehicles within campus boundaries. Security patrol any new construction areas and buildings to insure the unauthorized entry of children and or adults. Security Officer will contact Tribal Police, the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Services and Fire Departments for assistance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as Security has to communicate with patrons of SKC, police and write reports on incidents. SKC Security is a 24/7/365 program and a part-time position. The officer must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license. Must not have any felonies or misdemeanor convictions in the last five years. Must not have any pending criminal misdemeanor or felony charges. Position can be physically demanding and officers must be able to perform foot patrol in all types of weather. Must be able to pass background check for criminal crimes. Officers must maintain a neat appearance on the job. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and punctual.
