Position Summary:Provide/implement quality therapeutic treatment to children with emotional and psychiatric problems on the caseload in order to maintain them in their own school/home/community environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide multiple hours of direct, quality, clinically indicated face to face contact, behavioral intervention and direction to children and youth in school/community/home settings, while maintaining financial viability of the program.
Complete, submit, and verify accuracy of paperwork, including but not limited to progress notes, intake paperwork, etc., while maintaining Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) standards as set forth by the School Based Services Administrators.
Provide input and collaborate with the Program Therapist to create/update and implement treatment plans for all youth on caseload.
Attend meetings and provide consultation to, and advocate for youth with school, participate in Child Study Teams/Individualized Education Plan meetings, coordinate services with community agencies, and cooperate with other providers to meet youth and youth system needs.
Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization both individually and as a team member.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Required:High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
Previous Professional Experience:
Required for High School Diploma or GED– Two (2) years of professional experience provding direct services to emotionally disturbed youth.
Preferred for Bachelor’s Degree – One (1) year of professional experience provding direct services to emotionally disturbed youth.
License and/or Certification:Driver’s License
Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance:Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
Physical/Environmental Demands & Requirements:
Work environment: This position will generally work indoors in climate controlled environment but occasionally will work in outdoor environment where they may not be protected from weather conditions.
Will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time while performing administrative duties.
Will frequently operate computer, keyboard, and other office equipment.
Consistently needs to move about inside building, outside to include uneven terrain, changes in elevation, and frequently change body position from and to standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone.
Depending on work location maybe required to assist in the physical restraint of a youth (50-300lbs) who is a safety risk to themselves or others.
The person in this position will constantly communicate with clients, their treatment team, and others. Must be able to communicate accurate information and accurately understand information communicated by those individuals.
Must be able to perceive, recognize, and observe clients behavior to include non-verbal cues expressed by the client.
Conditions may be high stress during de-escalation youth.
Hiring Range Salary$11.90 - $13.32 per hour DOE

Today Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, a nonprofit organization, is trusted locally and nationally as a leader in the field of mental health care for children and their families.
Our Residential Treatment is located on a 410 acre, working farm and ranch located in Billings, MT. We offer a continuum of mental health services that include case management, youth mentoring, home/school-based programs and foster care in addition to residential treatment. We specialize in treating troubled youth who struggle with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. We also have four Community Based Services locations in Livingston, Lewistown, Dillon, and Billings. With all of our locations we impact about 650 kids each day. And throughout our history, YBGR has impacted close to 10,000 youth and their families.
