Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:Under the supervision of a Nurse or Team Leader, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides support to the nursing team by performing essential, routine tasks in the care of hospitalized patients or long-term care residents. The CNA ensures high-quality care by following established methods and techniques to assist in daily activities and patient well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, hygiene, range of motion exercises, and ambulation as needed.
Demonstrate clinical competencies within the scope of practice.
Accurately document patient/resident care in the health records, ensuring timely and complete entries.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Support the development and reinforcement of individualized care and education plans for patients/residents and their families.
Communicate effectively and professionally with team members regarding patient/resident care.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Follow all relevant standards and procedures specific to your work area or specialty.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification by the State.
Preferred 3-6 months of experience in a similar role.
Ability to perform essential duties in accordance with safety and care standards.
