Position- Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist Night Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares patient, collects, handles, and properly labels specimens
Performs all laboratory testing to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
Records and reports testing results in a concise and timely manner.
Reviews tests results or worksheets to evaluate accuracy.
Performs Quality Control and Proficiency Testing.
Performs and records preventative maintenance on instrumentation.
Adheres to all departmental and hospital infection prevention, safety, and personnel policies.
Identifies critical results, notifies appropriate personnel, and documents the notification in the Epic Beaker Information System.
Verifies instrument function by checking patient and quality control results, calibrating, recognizing issues, and documenting corrective actions.
Trains students and new employees in the laboratory.
Performs several tasks simultaneously during heavy workload, organizes and prioritizes work to accommodate both “STAT” and routine work.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a current Montana CLT license
Schedule- Day Shift 36-40 hrs. /week Benefits- This position is eligible for the full-time benefits package.

The beautiful Clark Fork River, nearby Flathead Lake and Lake Pend Oreille provide excellent opportunities for the sail boating, water skiing or lake fishing enthusiast.
Clark Fork has excellent schools in a hometown atmosphere. And it's close to the "big city," with Missoula just 75 miles away and Spokane, Washington, 150 miles away.
