NATHAN SHACKELFORD Ag Equipment Operator in PLENTYWOOD, Montana
Temporary full-time position from 2/20/2025 to 12/20/2025 Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, nurture, spray, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm Implements such as plow, disc, baler and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant, spray and cultivate grain. Operate and load chemical application equipment. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self - propelled combine. Perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery, operating auger to load and unload grain into bins and driving grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Drive semis to field, bins, and elevator.Workers are only allowed to Smoke in the yard, not in the housing facility, equipment, vehicles, or any other building or while in field (hay field or crop field).Crops: Corn, durum, lentils, Grain Hay, Oats Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
