LAKE COUNTY Operator - Laborer Lake County in POLSON, Montana
The Lake County Roads Department is accepting applications for an Operator/Laborer. ACCOUNTABLE TO: Road Superintendent PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Under the direction of Road Superintendent, Road, Bridge, or Crusher foreman, operates and maintains trucks, graders front end loaders, and other heavy equipment to maintain and/or construct roads and related facilities, and performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, traveling from one location to another, servicing heavy equipment, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, twisting at the neck and waist, reaching, and kneeling. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Required to work outdoors in extreme weather and temperatures; must possess a valid Montana Commercial Drivers License with Class A minimum, with an acceptable driving record. This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy depending on the task at hand. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform heavy physical tasks; operate heavy equipment; includes but not limited to, dump truck, loader, motor grader, and snow plow; obtain liability insurance under Lake Countys general liability policy; complete a physical exam if requested. EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in road and/or bridge construction and/or maintenance preferred. DAYS/HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:00 ? 3:30 pm WAGE: $21.00/hrly Lake County offers excellent benefits!
