Logan Health Personal Trainer - Polson Fitness Center - PRN in Polson, Montana

Job Description Summary:

Logan Health's Polson Fitness Center has an opportunity for a PRN Personal Trainer to be part of their team!

Responsible for providing health and fitness assessments, personal training, and coaching to Logan Health Medical Fitness Center (LHMFC) client base. Coaching may be individual, partner, and/or group sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Personal Trainer required. Certification must be accredited by NCCA (National Commission for Certifying Agencies) required.

  • Current HS AED certification required.

  • Undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science preferred.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to learn other software as needed

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ Personal Trainer experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Possess ability to communicate orally to individuals and small groups.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Assesses the client’s health status, goals, and motivation to participate in exercise training.

  • Identifies barriers that could limit client opportunity for success.

  • Assists client in developing strategies to overcome identified barriers.

  • Develops and provides a safe, effective, and well rounded exercise program and instruction for the client.

  • Conducts safe, effective, and time efficient training sessions while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Adjusts and revises client program and exercise technique/form as needed.

  • Accommodates client schedule and begins and concludes session in a punctual manner.

  • Maintains accurate and current client records.

Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
