S&K Electronics in Pablo is hiring an Inventory Clerk. Functional Role: The basic function of the Inventory Clerk is to perform a variety of clerical and stock control functions within the parameters of Company policies and procedures. Special Conditions: This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the S&K Electronics, Inc. Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy PPpo-140. The successful applicant, if not already employed by SKE, must pass a pre-hire drug test. If employed by SKE but not in a Testing Designated Position, employee will be tested and negative results must be received before effective date of transfer into this position. Incumbents will be subject to random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing. Requirements. A. Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED B. Experience: Preferred: Forklift experience and a minimum of 1 year experience in warehousing or other related fields. C. Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrate good written, verbal and mathematical skills and organizational capabilities. Possess working knowledge of computers and office equipment. D. Physical: Body Position: Standing, sitting, occasional lifting and carrying for short distances items weighing up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance. (Utilize mechanical assistance or two-person carry for items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.) Body Movements: Carrying, use of hands, eyes and arms; climbing to store or retrieve parts using platform ladder or stepladder. E. Mental: Requires reading, writing, basic math, and oral communication skills. Employee must be able to work within deadlines. Good attendance and punctuality are a must in this position. F. Working Condition: Some exposure to exhaust from forklift and trucks. Light manufacturing shop environment in which electrical equipment and hazardous chemicals are used that represent a minimal risk to health. Reporting Relationships. A. The Inventory Clerk reports to the Inventory Manager. B. The Inventory Clerk does not have any supervisory responsibility. Authority. The Inventory Clerk is encouraged to investigate and suggest warehouse and inventory control techniques and methods to increase efficiency, but shall generally be limited from exercising independent judgment in implementing such techniques without prior approval. Responsibilities. The principal responsibilities of the Inventory Clerk consist of but are not limited to, the following: A. Perform all inventory control activities assigned by the Inventory Manager. B. Maintain accurate timekeeping records of work performed. C. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner. D. Maintain an effective working relationship with all SKE employees. E. May be responsible for daily receiving of material from outside sources. F. May be responsible for pulling kits/issuing materials to meet production schedules. G. May be responsible for packaging and shipping of material. H. May be responsible for computer data entry to document receipt, issue and shipment. I. Attention to detail of assigned tasks ensuring no delays in projects while maintaining accuracy and integrity of inventory. J. Performs other duties as assigned.
