For over 25 years, we've been fueling economic growth, cultivating local food systems, and helping to build thriving cooperatives.The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our Community Economic Development Department. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting two key programs:•Business Development Program: You will be responsible for coordinating workshops and trainings, a cornerstone of our support for local entrepreneurs. This includes creating calendars, securing instructors, promoting events, and gathering feedback. You will also support the coordination of our Expert Network, a program that connects businesses with a talented pool of contracted technical assistance professionals.•Tourism Program: You will provide essential support to the Tourism Steering Committee, coordinating meetings and ensuring effective communication among members.Responsibilities:•Coordinate logistics for Business Development Program workshops and trainings, including scheduling, budgeting, and promotion.•Manage the communication and outreach for the Expert Network program, including onboarding specialists and overseeing communication with businesses.•Assist the Business Development Program Manager with various program initiatives.•Provide support to the Tourism Steering Committee, coordinating meetings, agendas, and communication with members.•Maintain program records and documentation.•Assist with grant reporting and other department initiatives as needed.Qualifications:•Associate's degree or higher in business administration, public administration, or a related field (preferred).•Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, event management, or a similar role.•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.•A passion for community development and economic development.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Normal office hours are Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to travel by car and, upon occasion, by plane. The employee is regularly required to climb stairs, assist in setting up/taking down conference rooms, for example computers, screens, projectors, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. This position will require working flexible hours and attending evening and weekend meetings. Some out-of-town travel is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneSchedule, Workplace and Benefits:●Full time position in Mission West’s office in downtown Ronan, MT in the beautiful Mission Valley.
