S&K Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Manager, Marketing & Communications. The Manager, Marketing & Communications is the gatekeeper of our brand and leads our content strategy to ensure consistent messaging across a variety of internal and external channels. This person plans/owns the marketing calendar and creates copy and content for advertising and collateral, email, website, social media, video, public relations and press releases. As part of the management team, this position is responsible for drafting and developing strategic marketing plans that will contribute to revenue and profitability goals. This position will team with individual LLCs under the S&K brand to offer cohesive outreach that is directly attributable to the acquisition of new markets and growth.
This position is a hands-on leader requiring organization, detail-orientation, flexibility, the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, multi-task, and perform across various projects to keep on track with deadlines and outcomes. Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to keep stakeholders apprised of and engaged in various marketing initiatives.
Marketing and Communications:
Develop and implement an overarching S&K branding strategy that aligns with our corporate mission and values.
Build brand awareness through digital means and printed materials.
Ensure consistent use of approved brand identity guidelines throughout the organization and take the necessary steps to educate and correct when detected.
Create and update, in collaboration with various stakeholders, marketing materials and collateral as needed.
Maintain extensive knowledge of the business to offer solutions based on the unique needs of our customer groups and industry category.
Plan, research, write, edit, and coordinate the production of internal and external publications.
Develop, produce, and deliver the quarterly Corporate newsletter.
Develop, execute, and monitor a Social Media strategy that aligns with the Corporate mission and values.
Develop content and write narratives, stories, press releases, and other written content as required.
Maintain the quality, integrity of content of the Corporation’s web sites, developing and managing regularly scheduled upgrades as needed.
Recommend and establish content use and graphic standards policies using a developed style guide for all marketing and external material to move to more consistent messaging across the Enterprise; Update current marketing collateral IAW style guide.
Develop communications material including planning, research, writing, editing, art directing, printing, and distribution.
Identify and manage attendance at Trade Shows and Conferences that align with Corporate and Business Unit Strategic Objectives (customers, locations, capabilities).
Publish the Corporation’s strategic plan and annual reports for the Shareholder.
Distribution and Analytics:
Track web site “hits” and analytics to determine if content is appropriate for and reaching target audiences; Develop and publish reports for Corporate and Business Unit leadership that includes data analysis and recommendations.
Manage and systematically perform routine evaluations of the Corporate web site.
Evaluate effectiveness of social media campaigns to determine preferred and impactful networks.
Manage the distribution process of publications and perform systematic evaluation to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
Manage and comply with approved funding guidelines, seeking review and approval for expenses outside the identified and allocated funds.
Support annual budget preparation by submitting an annual Marketing budget for use under the B&P department budget.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required (i.e.: Journalism, etc.)
Will accept 8 years of experience in exchange for a 4-year degree. This is in addition to the minimum years noted under Experience.
Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in marketing and communications in a leadership role.
Demonstrated experience in marketing to federal government customers
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, facilitate, and lead across a variety of teams (geographic, business type, management style).
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media processes and campaigns.
