Logan Health Director of Facilities & Support Services - Conrad & Shelby Facilities in Shelby, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position plans, organizes and directs the efficient utilization of facilities management resources and support services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Masters preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ leadership experience required.

  • CMS/FireLife Safety experience preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Management Job Duties:

Strategic Execution

Drive organizational objectives by operationalizing changes and initiatives effectively and efficiently. Proactively anticipate both the needs of Logan Health and the impact operations has on the organization’s success. Collect and analyze data, prepare and present recommendations, and explain associated benefits and risks for improving operations.

Demonstrate and further develop competencies in the areas of leadership, financial management, employee engagement, human resources knowledge, organizational dynamics and governance, organizational communication, strategic planning, change management, risk management, compliance, patient safety and quality improvement. Collaborates with Human Resources to develop, implement and support programs and processes that add value to Logan Health, its leadership and employees. Job Specific Duties:

  • Plans, directs and oversees the activities and operations of the assigned area(s).

  • Directs the design, planning, construction and maintenance of the facility and properties for assigned area(s).

  • Responsible for developing budgets and long-range facilities plans based on the growth and future needs. Monitors budgets and approves contracts.

  • Oversees the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management for assigned area(s).

  • Oversees contractors involved in facility projects and delivery of services. Ensures building operations comply with all local laws and regulations.

  • Develops, organizes, implements and evaluates the risk, safety, and disaster preparedness programs, environmental, occupational, and health/safety programs per Logan Health protocol.

  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Manages all incident reporting data and reports to administration and governing board. Coordinates with HR to manage workers compensation claims.

  • Participates in the Quality Program and reports trends and may recommend action plans for any trends in data for assigned area(s).

  • Reports, responds to, and resolves problems, issues, and inquiries that are escalated in the grievance system.

  • Enforces adherence to regulations governing the health and safety of patients and staff per Logan Health protocol.

  • Conducts safety inspections and enforces adherence to regulations governing the health and safety of individuals and protection of the environment for assigned area(s).

  • Manages all chart and peer review and reports findings to assigned leadership.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
