Kalispell Regional Healthcare Marketing/Foundation/Auxiliary Director in Shelby, Montana

Overview

Organize, plan, develop and maintain all mark eting functions of Logan Health-Shelby as well as operations of, organization, planning and fundraising for Toole County Health Foundation and Logan Health - Shelby Auxiliary

Responsibilities

Member of community organizations, as needed and agreed upon __

Create and manage Logan Health-Shelby website and Intranet. __

Maintains the operations of the department. __

Assess market areas, develop marketing programs __

Prepare promotional materials, monitor results. __

Maintain contact with Business Community and area population to determine

needs and satisfaction. __

Prepares annual marketing plan. Performs all marketing needs for

Logan Heatlh-Shelby, MHC and Auxiliary advertising, newspaper, and print

advertising. __

Maintains continuity and consistency in delivery of advertising for all those areas

and connects and/or communicates with other Logan Health system departments

and staff as may be needed and appropriate. __

As needed and appropriate writes weekly articles and promotions. __

Assist with Community Health Needs Assessment. Performs Community

Outreach per CHNA and Strategic Planning. __

Attends Quality Improvement and Directors meetings as scheduled. __

Plans and executes Quality Improvement projects for marketing and

customer satisfaction. __

Maintain and update all Logan Health-Shelby and TCHF materials and handouts.

Assists HR with staff recruitment advertising. __

Manages the Patient Satisfaction Surveys, including distribution, collection of

data and monthly and annual reporting. __

Responsible for all copy, images, data, and design of Annual Report. __

Work with the TCHF Director, Chairperson and Foundation Board to analyze

cost and evaluate the potential benefits of developing and implementing a market

plan for the Foundation in conjunction with the MMC marketing plan. Develop

and implement the marketing plan as directed. __

Maintains knowledge and implementation of standards and requirements

specified by federal and state laws, and new trends, products or other issues. __

Develops new policies and procedures relating to the department and reviews

such on an annual basis for changes and/or corrections. Submits new, changed

or corrected policy to VP or designee for approval.

Prepares reports as directed by Administration. __

Completes and submits a budget to Administration for all areas in the

department for the upcoming fiscal year. Operates the department within the approved budget and reports on any variances. __

Orders or authorizes to purchase supplies, equipment or services for department. Responsible for bid proposals for capital purchases per policy. _

Foundation - Essential Functions

Facilitate Foundation Board and committee meetings, such as scheduling and

organizing meetings and other materials for handouts and reference, and other

duties as required. Work with Logan Health - Shelby CEO, CFO and

department directors to identify needs that can be presented to the Foundation

Board for discussion and possible approval. __

Work with the Chairperson and the Foundation Board to establish clear and

measurable fundraising goals and objectives, identify and implement activities

needed to achieve those goals, and revise and update them. __

Work with the Foundation Board to identify, cultivate and recruit new Board

members. __

Coordinate all donor cultivation activities, such as recognition or awareness

events, community education, special requests, personal contact, etc. __

Plan and execute all Foundation fundraising events as identified to meet established goals and objectives.

Develop, cultivate and solicit gifts and/or sponsorship from corporate and

foundation sources, individuals, families and/or estates. __

Coordinate follow-up visits and facilitate donor contacts as requested by Board members, donors and/or other community professionals. __

Facilitate contact with lawyers, insurance agents and other financial planners in

support of planned gifts and/or other donations. __

Schedule and implement ongoing presentations to various community groups

requesting gifts and/or volunteer assistance for the Toole County Health

Foundation (TCHF) __

Maintain personal knowledge of fundraising and tax-related issues and concerns

and build a library of reference materials in the Foundation office to include

pertinent fundraising publications and journals, IRS regulation, etc. __

As appropriate work with Grant Writer and management team to obtain necessary information for grant submissions. __

Auxiliary Duties

Facilitate Auxiliary committee meetings, such as scheduling and organizing

meetings and other materials for handouts and reference, and other duties as

required. __

Work with Logan Health - Shelby CEO, CFO and department directors to identify needs that can be presented to the Auxiliary Committee for discussion and possible approval. __

Maintain membership on MMC Auxiliary. __

Oversee Auxiliary, Gift Shop and Cedar Closet and maintain membership in

Shelby Merchants’ Association. __

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate and current donor records and other records as required. __

Coordinate all Auxiliary, Foundation and marketing related documentation and

correspondence. __

Coordinate all donor recognition efforts including thank you letters, plaques and

other honorary tokens (e.g. Tree of Life), donor gifts, annual thank you luncheon,

etc. __

Respond to requests and facilitate access to needed information as requested by

donors, potential donors and/or Board members. __

Maintain financial information on donations received and Foundation expenditures

and forward to Logan Health-Shelby accounting as required. __

Provide donor lists, Foundation and Auxiliary related articles and other

appropriate information to the Marketing and Public Relations department for publication in the Logan Health-Shelby newsletter. __

Manage all gift annuity and receipt payments. __

Analyze costs and evaluate the potential benefits of developing and implementing

a marketing plan for the Foundation and Auxiliary in conjunction with the Logan Health-Shelby marketing plan. Develop and implement the marketing plan as

directed. __

Recognizes that with limited resources, other duties may be delegated.

Qualifications

Associate degree or BA in marketing or other related field preferred. __

Experience in marketing, fundraising and/or organization of events that

demonstrate success required, preferably in a healthcare setting. __

Leadership and management experience preferred but not required __

Experience working with personal computers required. __

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. __

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and be competent in social

media and marketing applications and avenues. __

Must be able to use the telephone, copy machine, computer and any equipment necessary to fulfill job description efficiently. __

Good visual, hearing, typing and communication abilities required. Must be able

to function with numerous interruptions during work hours. __

Is flexible regarding schedule due to work load/projects and staff changes.
