About the Position

We are looking for a Territory Sales Representative to be responsible for all company-related sales activities focused on the growth and development of commercial business lines in the assigned markets, including bulk and packaged chemical products and crop advisement to agricultural customers, while delivering the highest quality service and support to new and existing customer accounts.

You’ll report to the Regional Sales Manager, working out of our Valier, MT location, focusing on these key responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales, service, and growth development of assigned key commercial accounts within defined marketing territory.

  • Execute company defined sales process, from lead generation to account closing, to include planning, scheduling, and conducting regular sales calls on agricultural companies.

  • Identify, document, and satisfy the supply and service demands of our customers according to the company brand standard. Be alert to customer needs, challenges and obstacles and develop service solutions to resolve to the customer’s complete satisfaction.

  • Market and sell crop protection products to existing and new customers.

  • Follow industry news and stay informed about new products and research.

  • Provide market intelligence regarding competitive products, services, pricing programs and/or marketing strategies identified through the course of business and customer dialogue and report back to sales team to improve company market position and prevent customer attrition.

  • Maintain high standards of courtesy and respect for all customers and fellow employees. Develop professional relationships with customers.

  • Prepare and complete customer paperwork timely, accurately, and legibly to assure product quality.

  • Participate in individual performance review meetings, industry trade events and/or training sessions/modules as assigned.

  • Attend department and safety meetings when scheduled.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Willing and able to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, as well as other regions, sometimes in short-notice and/or for extended periods of time.

  • Manage competing tasks and priorities.

  • Have a high degree of organizational skills and be able to work directly with decision makers.

  • Personal appearance must be neat and well groomed.

  • Ability to work normal business hours Monday through Friday — 8 hours a day, with additional hours as required to meet customer needs or participate in company and/or supplier sponsored events and trade shows.

  • Ability to be available to customers on evenings and weekends.
