R & R OPERATING LLC Livestock Worker in SIDNEY, Montana

Temporary full-time posistion from 11/15/2024 to 7/1/2025 We run a seasonal feedlot. Our operation runs from September 1 until July. During this period, we have cattle on the farm in our feedlot setting where they need to be fed daily, water needs to be checked daily. Employee will need to check cattle and doctor any sick cattle. Employee will need to put bedding down for cattle while they are confined to keep the pens dry, employee will assist with pen maintenance and pen repairs during this time. We confine our cattle in pens during this period to keep them away from the elements. During this time, we need to feed the cattle daily since they are not able to graze freely in pastures. We start hauling cattle from fields to pens in September. Cattle are confined in pens from October until April. In May and June we haul cattle back to pastures. At the feedlot cattle wellbeing comes first. We run a well-kept farm. We process cattle, moving, sweeping, washing, and repairing equipment. We scrape and haul snow from pens to keep the mud away to also assist with keeping the pens dry. In the spring we need to prepare cattle and work them to take care of any winter related health issues. This requires additional assistance with cattle during this time. When things dry out in the spring, we completely clean out the pens and haul dirt to fill any holes caused by the winter weather. We mow the fields. In May and June cattle are returned to fields for grazing and no further manual care is needed until the fall when they have to be hauled back from the pastures. No cattle assistance is needed in July and August since there are no cattle at the feed yard during this time.
