PRAIRIE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Ambulance Services Coordinator in TERRY, Montana

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience in related field. Minimum Experience Requirement: 2 years of related EMT experience. Must have a current Driver's License. Excellent written and verbal skills. Minimum License Requirement: Hold a current Montana EMT Basic License and/or National Registry EMT Basic Certification. Willing to pursue Lead EMT certification. Willing to submit to a background check.Responsible for managing and maintaining the operational and administrative functions, programs, billing/claims, budgeting, fundraisers, and projects of Prairie Community Ambulance Service. Works with EMT volunteers to provide the best ambulance services available. Also works with Management Team to identify needs of the ambulance service. Plans, develops, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operation of the Prairie County Ambulance Service, its activities, fundraisers and programs. Develops, maintains and periodically updates written Ambulance policies, procedures, reference materials, manuals, objectives and philosophies. Creates a call schedule for ambulance personnel by the last working day of the month, for the following month. Responds to calls for EMT care and requests for Civic Event Standby, or ensures response by available personnel. Responsible for staying within the jurisdiction and remaining on-call in the event that all/other EMTs are unavailable, and/or ensure another jurisdiction is available to cover calls within Prairie County. Ensures all Patient Care Reports (PCR) are satisfactorily completed for billing, audit, and legal purposes, and all supporting documents - transfer sheets, billing demographics, and any additional reports - are attached to the Patient Care Report to be submitted in a timely manner. Orders supplies and/or equipment for ordering and restocking purposes. Report any vehicle, and/or equipment issues immediately upon discovery. Works in collaboration with Administrator & designees to conduct outreach community relations and marketing initiatives, including reaching goals & objectives of the marketing plan. Additional functions besides ambulance related duties include grant writing and community outreach. Training will be provided for additional tasks if needed. Will report to the hospital administrator but will work in tandem with many public officials such as the sheriff's office and the county commissioners.
