Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent ensures all products are properly proofed according to specifications. Ensures proper oven settings including but not limited to assuring the temperature and steam times are correct for each product. Responsible for the quality control of all finished products and to remove any product that does not meet standards. Responsible to report all shorts and unacceptable products to lead baker or supervisor. Able to properly set up and run both the depanner and seeder. Responsibility includes other job tasks as requested by lead baker or supervisor.
Responsible to make sure the work area is clean and organized before, during and after shift. Refer to MSS for sanitation requirements. Accountable to comply with company policies and procedures including AIB standards. Responsible to work in a safe manner at all times.
Ability to read and write. Basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to learn product and product specifications. Ability to recognize proper coloring of products. Must be able to understand proper proofing for baked products and measure items according to set standards.
Extensive standing, reaching, twisting and bending. Dexterity is a must with a repetitive and fast paced environment. Extensive walking and pulling full racks weighing up to 350 Lbs. from proofing and ovens and returning racks and pan carts to production area. Ability to move full pan carts weighing up to 1500 pounds back to the pan area.
