Store Maintenance Manager
Summary:Responsible for maintenance of entire property, both external and internal, including HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, fuel pumps, etc. Responsible for overall cleanliness of facilities, both internal and external. Works closely with any outside repair people to ensure all work is completed satisfactorily. Supervises maintenance workers and housekeepers, including scheduling and discipline. May be involved in hiring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for maintenance of the entire location, i.e., refrigeration, heating, plumbing, electrical, fuel pumps, and preventive maintenance schedules.
Responsible for overall cleanliness of location, both internal and external.
Insures that all projects are completed on time and according to the necessary specifications.
Works closely with any craftsmen called in to perform work. Aids and instructs craftsmen with scheduling of work, ordering of materials, and completing assignments as specified by the Store Manager or Corporate Representative.
Works closely with store manager and assistant managers. Meets with Store Manager to discuss any phase of the operation that the maintenance department is involved with.
Evaluates requisitions for work or work orders and reports completion to Store Manager as instructed.
Maintains a flexible work schedule to cover emergencies.
Responsible for training and orientation of new maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Supervises and coordinates maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure work is completed properly and in a timely manner.
Interacts with the public, providing exceptional customer service.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five year’s prior experience in maintenance desired; Supervisory experience in related field preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Boilers license (where applicable).

Demonstrate strong staff management skills with a commitment to collaboration and mentorship.
Knowledge of plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and mechanical system in commercial buildings.
