ROBIN DELP General Farmworker in VIDA, Montana

Temporary position from 7/15/2024 to 10/15/2024 An additional farmworker is needed during the harvest season when farmwork is the busiest. Worker will assist with loading and unloading crops or containers of materials. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and/or notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools,. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor.May drive trucks and semis to/from field, load/unload hay on semi-trucks. Help with hauling grain to local elevators. Must have knowledge of harvesting equipment such as John Deere Combine S690 and John Deere Combine 9760, Semi trucks with grain trailers, Case Tractor with Grain Cart, Bobcat, Skid Steer, pickup with trailer header behind. May occasionally assist with other agricultural duties related to the production of crops/cattle. Assist with general farm maintenance and maintenance of equipment and tools. Duties will be assigned daily. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions common in fields. Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. 3 months of experience is required. Driving is required. Workers must obtain a driver's license. Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges).
