BMO Financial Group Program Manager, US Lending Operations in Virtual, Montana

The program manager will be accountable to deliver people, process, and technology changes within our US Lending Operations portfolio. This will include initiatives aimed at improving productivity and customer and employee experience, achieving operational excellence, responding to regulatory change, and business-driven changes.

We are seeking a candidate who has:

  • Operations management experience in a financial institution

  • Experience with delivering large change initiatives

  • Knowledge of retail, small business lending, and collections operations

  • Expertise with US lending and Collections regulations (Reg Z-TILA, Reg X-RESPA, Reg F-Debt Collection Practices) including assessing and deploying changes to adapt to evolving regulations, and responding to regulatory reviews

  • Proven track record of leading highly effective teams

  • Familiarity with SDLC, PMO requirements, and managing project financials

  • Capability of developing and executing against a multi-year strategy and portfolio of initiatives

  • Capability to recruit, develop, and grow top talent in a professional services organization

  • Agile thinker, quick learner, resourceful

  • Expertise in stakeholder management and ability to navigate ambiguous and challenging situations

  • Risk and issue management experience/expertise

  • Impact and influence, problem-solving

  • Data-driven decision-making approach

  • Adheres to Bank risk, regulatory and compliance controls

  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor

  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy

  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues

Qualifications

  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Valid PMP or equivalent experience.

  • 9+ years US banking experience- preferably in US Lending and/or Collections

  • Stakeholder management – Expert

  • Able to manage ambiguity

  • Verbal & written communication skills - Expert

  • Analytical and problem solving skills - Expert

  • Influence skills - Expert

  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - Expert
