JobDuties: Responsiblefordailyfielddecisionstodeterminecorrectprocedurestocompleteprojects.Performsmanual,skilled and semi-skilled work.Work mayinclude: • Constructingand/orrepairingpropertyboundaryandcrossfences,usingpermanentorelectricfencesonWMAs tomaximizewildlifepotentialonFWPlandsandtominimizetrespasslivestock. • Maintainingroads,culverts,ditches,dikes,parkingareas,andbridgesbyusingavarietyofheavyandlight equipmentsuchasfront-end loaders,backhoes,graders,dumptrucksandhandtools. • Maintainingandrepairingheavyandlightequipmentandmachinery,usingwelding,plasmacutter,drillpress,cutting torch, power and hand tools. • OccasionallymaintainslatrinefacilitiesatFASsitesinabsenceofUCFFAScaretaker. • Loadingandunloadingheavyandlightequipmentfromtrailersandpickups. • Properlysecuringfortransportheavyandlightequipment. • RepairingandmaintainingDepartmentbuildingsandstructuresonWMA'sincludingelectrical,carpentry,heatingandplumbingrepairsusinga variety of power and hand tools. • Performinginteriorandexteriorrepairstomaintainasafeenvironmentforthepublicusersandreducethe deteriorationofDepartmentfacilities.Maintainsfacilitiesto Department standardstoincludepaintandcleanliness on existing andnewstructures. Minimumqualifications Knowledgeofthe methodsandpractices of generalmaintenance andconstruction workasrelatedto equipment,buildings,grounds,andrelated facilities;useandcareof tools,fenceconstruction andmaintenance,operationof a varietyof motorizedequipment, whichincludesfarmequipment,industrial equipment,andvehicles.Skilledintheuse andrepairofgeneralmaintenanceequipment.Knowledgeofcorrectweedapplicationproceduresasdemonstratedby beingaCertifiedWeedApplicator.AbilitytoobtainClassACDLwithtrailer within 6monthsofhire.Basiccomputer skills.Highschooldiplomaor equivalent and2-3yearsof job-related experience. Thispositionisfulltimeandpartially softfunded.40-hour work weekdayshift.Occasional overnight travelwilloccurto fulfill departmenttraining and meeting obligations.
