State of Montana Nurse Practitioner in Warm Springs, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within Montana State Hospital. * * TheMontana State Hospital (MSH) in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. Nurse Practitioneris an* Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and provides direct medical care and services to patients at Montana State Hospital facilities in a clinical or infirmary setting. In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. * * Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * Extensive and advanced knowledge of medical advanced practice nursing. * Understanding of individual and team approaches to treatment and therapy for mental health illness. * Knowledge of professional standards of practice for healthcare professionals in different disciplines, in medical clinic settings, and for the operation of a healthcare facility. * Ability to effectively utilize knowledge and skills and apply them to practical assessment and treatment modalities for patients. * Ability to compose and provide information in the form of reports and complete clinical documentation. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Masters’ Degree from an accredited APRN program as an Advanced Practice Nurse. o Licensed as APRN in the State of Montana, prescriptive authority with assignment of DEA number. o Two years of experience providing patient care preferably as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
