State of Montana Psychiatric Aide in Warm Springs, Montana
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital. Psychiatric Technicians (Psych Techs) provide assistance and support to clients in a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include supervises and accounts for patients; provides care as directed by medical and nursing providers; observes, reports and documents information concerning patient’s physical emotional, and behavior status; provides and assists with therapeutic activities and activities of daily living; maintains and protects patients’ rights; recognizes and appropriately response using therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques with patients. Employees who have successfully completed training will be places in a specified work shift consisting of five (5) consecutive 8-hour workdays followed by 2 consecutive days off. Upon completion of a six (6) month probationary period, employees may bid on a permanent work shift. Additionally, shift differential may be available. This position may be eligible for a hiring incentive up to $7,500.
