Delaware North Night Auditor and Front Desk Clerk, Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana

The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a customer-service focused Front Desk Clerk and Night Auditor to join our team at Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone, Montana. In this role you will be responsible for night auditor and front desk duties while working.

We are seeking candidates with a passion for guest service that enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We offer discounted meals and have associate housing (subject to availability). Our location at the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park is ideal for individuals who enjoy the great outdoors.


  • Run night audit function; reconcile credit card payments, input sales from other systems and manual sales sheets.

  • Understand guest folio, explanation of billing and how to make any needed corrections.

  • Review pending advance deposits and charges.

  • Maintain a constant presence at the front desk, greeting everyone and answering all guest needs.

  • Post charges for in-house accounts.

  • Receive cash and/or credit card payments and make correct change.

  • Read group resumes and know daily activities of group.

  • Complete shift closing, drop cash and check payments.

  • Secure bank at all times and follow proper cash handling policies.

  • Answer and direct incoming calls.

  • Cash handling and accountability; maintain accurate paperwork as it relates to front office operations.

  • Check and balance the daily figures, post room and tax charges on guest accounts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Previous experience in cash handling required.

  • Previous experience with operating point-of-sale systems required.

  • Previous experience in customer service environment preferred.

  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change.

  • Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions.
