Wibaux Public School Family and Consumer Science Teacher in Wibaux, Montana
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Teacher to join our team at Wibaux County High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FCS education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students in grades 7-12. In addition to teaching FCS courses, this position offers the opportunity to serve as the advisor for the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA} chapter at our school.
Teaching:Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction: Design and deliver engaging and relevant FCS curriculum for students in grades 7-12, covering areas such as nutrition, culinary arts, parenting, personal finance, and life skills.
- Classroom Management: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore various aspects of family and consumer sciences.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to support student growth and achievement.
- Extracurricular Leadership (Optional): Serve as the advisor for the FCCLA chapter, organizing meetings, coordinating activities, and guiding students in leadership development, community service projects, and competitive events.
FCCLA
Program:
- Serve as the FCCLA Advisor, overseeing the implementation and success of the FFCLA program.
- Coordinate and guide students in various FCCLA activities, including but not limited to career development events, leadership conferences, and community service projects.
- Mentor FCCLA members in developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Extended day contract
QuaIifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license/certification in Family and Consumer Sciences or eligibility for licensure in [State].
Experience teaching FCS courses at the middle or high school level is
desirable.
