State of Montana Client Service Technician (30470) in Wolf Point, Montana

The Office of Public Assistance (OPA) determines eligibility benefits to help low income or struggling families get a hand up to become self-reliant. Daily duties include gathering, compiling, and instructing applicants on how to complete forms, explaining general program policies and guidelines, and interviewing applicants for benefits and providing referrals for outside assistance programs as needed./Knowledge of Public Assistance and Community Resources is preferred but not required./ Special Info: Due toanticipatedvolume of applicants, we will contact only those candidates who most closely match our requirements. OPA fills vacancies on a routine schedule to coincide with department training. Please note, multiple locations are available at this time and anticipated start date of employment will be September 20, 2021. Special Info: This office location operates within an Indian Reservation. Successful applicants are required to pass all applicable background checks. / Physical and Environmental Demands: This position works in a typical office environment with keyboarding requirements. * Skill in dealing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. * Ability to communicate information so others will understand. * Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. * Ability to provide effective and professional customer service. * Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheet, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs.
