This position may be covered by aVoluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) *How would this position make an impact in your community? * As a Workforce Consultant in our Wolf Point Job Service office, you will: * Provide outcome-based, client specific services to a socio-economically diverse population and cultures, with skill levels ranging from seasoned professionals to those new to the workforce. * Deliver specialized employment services and access to supportive programs for those experiencing severe barriers to employment. * Build and maintain relationships with businesses, education, economic development and other community partners. * Provide a broad array of customized services to businesses in such areas as worker recruitment & retention, employment law, economic trends and workforce solutions including human resource practices. If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: Knowledge of (or ability to learn in a reasonable amount of time): * Basic concepts of workforce development. * Knowledge of local social service agencies and community resources. * De-escalation skills. * Mediation skills. Skill in: * Using a variety of computer software to perform timely and accurate data entry. * Solution-based, problem-solving. * Time-management and taking initiative. * Detail-oriented organization and multi-tasking. * Effective oral and written communication and ability to interview others to obtain information and insight. * Assisting others who are struggling personally or professionally to access assistance and helping others identify and achieve goals Ability to: * Ability to interact positively, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners and co-workers that have a variety of personalities and come from various socio-economic populations. * Pursue client and business outcomes with energy and enthusiasm while applying and adhering to laws, rules, and procedures. * Adapt quickly and effectively to a constantly changing environment. * Provide positive, outstanding customer service while maintaining confidentiality. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including: * a degree in a field such as business, public administration, social work and 2 years of related experience OR * 6 years of relevant experience that has preparing you for this opportunity.
